In the midst of a divorce, HGTV star?Christina El Moussa’s level of stress had left her residence appetite and feeling unhealthy.

“When I’m stressed, foods are quit in my mind,” the Flip or Flop star, 33, tells PEOPLE. “I knew I want to to get back to being healthy for me and my babies.”

So El Moussa consulted her close friend, nutritionist Cara Clark, who set her with a normal nutrition plan.

“She is indeed sweet she forced me to several smoothies will freeze and dropped them by our house,” El Moussa says. “She supplied me with some easy recipes to obtain me back in line.”

Now, she maintains “a very clean, organic diet,” and learned to snack at all hours and keep her energy levels up, something fans noticed when El Moussa shared photos of herself in the bikini.

“Nutrition is important in my experience either way my personal your health, additionally my children,” El Moussa says. “It’s about all things in moderation. If I desire a wine or two I’m going to are, or some chocolate – sure have you thought to! In my opinion, my nutrition routine may be a way of life, and I have so much energy while i exercise and enjoy a balanced diet.”

“Christina’s calories and macros are perfect for an active woman,” Atlanta-based dietitian Marisa Moore says. The overnight oats at breakfast pack heart-healthy fat and protein with the peanut butter, filling fiber on the oats and banana, and the cinnamon assists in keeping blood sugars stable. El Moussa gets more thumbs up on her behalf snack, although the Perfect Bar is calorie-heavy at 300 per bar. “It’s inching even closer meals replacer,” Moore says. Nevertheless it works in tandem together lighter lunch, which adds far healthier fats and beta-carotene from the greens. El Moussa’s dinner is “satiating as well as a perfect method to end the time,” though Moore suggests adding a vegetable slaw to round out the tacos.
